How to make Turkish simit (bagel)?

  1. To make the Turkish simit recipe, firstly prepare the dough. For this, put warm water, flour, yeast, salt, and butter into a kneading bowl and knead. Then, get a dough that is not hard (add flour gradually after 2 and a half glasses because the water absorption capacity of flours may vary).
  2. Let the dough rest covered for 30-40 minutes. Next, divide it into 6 meringues and shape each into a bagel.
  3. Combine molasses, water, and flour thoroughly in a bowl. Put the bagels you shaped into a mixture of molasses and then sesame seeds (or sunflower seeds).
  4. Place bagels on a tray with baking paper. Let them ferment in the tray for half an hour, and then cook them in preheated 230 degrees for 15 minutes with plenty of streams.

The Turkish simit (bagel) recipe is ready.
