Honey almond dessert, which is one of the Turkish sherbet desserts, got this name because its shape resembles almonds. The ingredients of this Turkish dessert are listed below:

For the dessert dough:

  • 125 grams of butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 water glass of powdered sugar
  • Half a tea glass of oil
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla
  • Enough flour

For the sherbet:

  • 2 and a half water glasses of sugar
  • 3 water glasses of water
  • 1 slice of lemon or orange

To cover with:

  • Semolina

For the top:

  • Peanut
  1. To make this Turkish dessert, firstly, prepare the sherbet. For this, put water and sugar in a pot and mix. After it starts to boil, add lemon juice or orange juice. Boil for another five-six minutes on low heat and let it cool.
  2. For the dough, mix all the ingredients except flour. Then, add flour little by little and knead a soft dough that does not stick to the hand.
  3. Take walnut-sized pieces from the dough and shape them. Next, cover them with semolina and arrange them on the baking tray. With the help of a knife, make scratches on the desserts without cutting them too deep.
  4. Bake the dessert in a preheated 180-degree oven until lightly browned.
  5. After the first heat of the desserts is gone, drizzle the cooled sherbet over them.
  6. Fill the middle parts of the desserts with hazelnuts and serve.
