Ingredients for the homemade sausage recipe are listed below:

  • 2 and a half kilograms of fatty beef
  • 2 heads of garlic
  • 2 and a half tablespoons of rock salt
  • 2 tablespoons of seven types of spices (thyme, mint, fenugreek, sumac, chili pepper, red pepper powder, cumin) (This spice mix is ​​sold in Turkey.  After mixing these spices in a separate bowl, use 2 tablespoons for the sausage)
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 3 tablespoons of red pepper powder (use hot red pepper as desired)

How to make homemade sausage?

  1. To make the homemade sausage recipe, pass the beef and garlic through the meat grinder.  If you do not have a machine, you can also buy it as minced meat. (However, you should knead the minced meat well)
  2. Then, add the spices and salt and knead again and pass through the grinder for a second time.
  3. Next, knead the sausage paste well again. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  4. Take orange-sized pieces from the rested sausage paste and give them a sausage shape.
  5. Put each one in the middle of the cling film and wrap them.
  6. Close the edges by twisting them.
  7. Put the sausages you prepared in a bag or storage container and keep them in the freezer.
  8.  Take the sausage out of the freezer 10 minutes before use.
